Gondola On Track

Crystal’s Mount Rainier Gondola is ON TRACK for a Dec. 1st opening.  Here’s a quick synopsis of what’s left to do:

Today, the last tower footing was poured. 

After we give the concrete a necessary 7-10 days to cure, the towers and sheave assemblies will be flown into place using a Chinook helicopter.

Next, the wire rope gets strung…

Then the electrical connections will be made to each tower…

The gondola cabins will be attached.

Finally, the new gondola will be load tested and ready for prime time.
